 Insurance and Financial Services sector for 35 yea
 rs working for Insurance Intermediaries.&nbsp\; Mu
 ch of her career has been in the world of complian
 ce and regulation\, spending the last 20 years loo
 king after Risk &amp\; Compliance for a large inte
 rmediary in Somerset which involved developing and
  implementing policies and procedures\, horizon sc
 anning and providing advice and guidance to the di
 fferent branches within the group.&nbsp\; She has 
 achieved a number of qualifications including the 
 Diploma in Compliance and Fellowship of the Intern
 ational Compliance Association\, the Diploma in Fi
 nancial Planning and Certificate in Insurance with
  the Chartered Insurance Institute.\n 			Julie joi
 ned BIBA as the Head of Compliance in March 2024 a
 nd is passionate about helping members with all re
 gulatory related enquiries as well as hosting the 
 Regional Compliance Forums\, discussing relevant t
 opics with the FCA and other regulatory bodies.&nb
 sp\;Her mantra is to help and support members by d
 eciphering rules and regulations\, making them eas
 ier to understand.\n 			In her spare time\, Julie 
 is a qualified personal trainer and boxercise coac
 h and enjoys riding her motorcycle with her husban
 d\, exploring the UK and Europe.\n \n 			Vannessa 
 Young\n 			Vannessa Young has been working in the 
 insurance industry for more than thirty years.&nbs
 p\; She began her career as a journalist and Edito
 r working on specialist insurance publications for
  the Financial Times\, moving to the Corporation o
 f Lloyd&rsquo\;s and has also at an internet compl
 iance start-up.&nbsp\;At BIBA she holds a number o
 f roles\, including compliance\, &nbsp\;looking af
 ter our governance through our Advisory Boards and
  most recently our Social Commitment Policy\, work
 ing to ensure that we act ethically\, sustainably 
 and have a positive community impact whatever we&r
 squo\;re doing as an association.\n 			In her spar
 e time\, she enjoys theatre\, glass blowing and co
 llecting\, fine and contemporary art and travellin
 g the world to visit collections including her mos
 t memorable trip to Victor Delfin&rsquo\;s studio 
 in Peru. Her favourites museums remain London-base
 d though in the Wallace Collection and the glass g
 allery at the V&amp\;A\n 			\n 		\n 		\n 			\n
