As Chair of BIBA London & South-East region I invite you to join me and the committee for the regional  Annual General Meeting to be held at 3.30pm on 19 January 2022 via Teams.
 
Key aims of your local committee
Firstly, we aim to increase our engagement with BIBA members in our area to harness the collective experience and knowledge for the benefit of the region.
 
Secondly, we want to widen the training sessions at a local level especially among younger brokers. Of course we need to gauge demand so please let us know your thoughts along with ideas for topics and format of the events.
 
Communications 
All employees of BIBA member firms can create their own log-in to the BIBA website (www.biba.org.uk). This allows you access to guidance, technical and compliance information, events, forums and webinars organised by BIBA. Most of the webinars and events carry CPD points to aid your professional development and they are recorded so you can catch up on any you missed.
 
Meetings
Our regional committee meets 3-4 times per year and we are always on the lookout for anyone interested, who has the drive and energy, to join the team.  Very little of your time is required just as long as you are someone who can bring fresh ideas, have a desire to make contact and build relationships with regional member firms and an interest in discovering how BIBA are representing the membership where it matters with the FCA, government and other influential organisations.
 
A member of the committee attends BIBA’s quarterly Regional Chairs’ Advisory Board meeting which focuses on the latest challenges facing brokers and allows you to help BIBA to set its key priorities to help our sector.
 
So if you can spare a little time in 2022 please complete the nomination form and return to membership@biba.org.uk.  It will be raised for approval at the AGM.
