BIBA Schemes & Facilities webinar - Liability Insurance in 2021 covering Ogden, COVID, hard market, emerging sectors and giving the best advice presented by Yutree

We will focus on some areas where we have had queries, debate, issues etc raised by members over the past few months. Some of that centres on giving advice to clients on the contracts that they are signing and what liability implications there might be, whether cover is liability/PI or cyber (some interesting debate around tech sectors recently), the Uber model (we have long been advising to consider the EL exposure within the GIG economy and the recent supreme court ruling on Uber has backed up that view), Ogden (update following changes in NI recently) etc.

Learning objectives

  • Understand how the Ogden discount rate has impacted liability (including in Northern Ireland most recently)
  • Fully understand the impacts of COVID-19 on the liability sector
  • Be able to consider how best to negotiate liability terms in a hard market
  • Consider the insurance implications of emerging sectors
  • Understand how to give the best advice when it comes to liability covers

This interactive session will qualify for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) accreditation for BIBA members attending and returning a feedback form.
