BIBA Schemes & Facilities webinar - Mental health is a universal right presented by Mental Health in Business

The World Health Organisation recognises World Mental Health Day on 10 October each year and in 2023 the theme, set by the World Federation for Mental Health, is 'Mental health is a universal human right'.

This session explores this theme, the impact of poor mental health, some barriers that exist (to good mental health) and how we can all contribute to a society that supports positive mental health for all.


Learning objectives:

By the end of this event, attendees should be able to:

  • Summarise the individual and business impact of poor mental health.
  • Identify some barriers to social inclusion, support and access to the right care.
  • Explain the commitment needed as individuals and organisations, to positive mental health.
  • Understand how we can all contribute to a society in which mental health is valued, promoted and protected.

Presenter 
Steve Heath - Director & Co-founder - Mental Health in Business

Steve is a director and one of the co-founders of MHIB - and his vision is to lead a global shift in mental health in the workplace. He is passionate about helping businesses to create meaningful and impactful wellbeing programmes.


As well as being a major driving force in the business Steve is also an experienced Mental Health First Aid instructor and has travelled the length and breadth of the UK to deliver MHFA courses and leadership training for workplace mental health.      

Steve has 10+ years of business ownership experience, having established, run, and sold a successful media production business. His focus is now on mental health in the workplace and he has considerable experience working, volunteering and advising in this area.

Delegates participating in the accredited webinar can claim up to 1 CPD hour towards the CII member CPD scheme. A formal completion certificate will be issued for members attending and returning a feedback form.
