Presenter - Peter Hughes

Peter started his career as a reinsurance broker with 'the old’ Sedgwick Group, where he ran their European operations. He then spent 12 years at S&P, prior to setting up Litmus 15 years ago.  Peter and his business partner Stuart Shipperlee jointly own and manage Litmus. BIBA engaged Litmus in late 2016 to build the BLTR, which was launched in late 2017.

Having worked for 20 years in the London insurance market before joining S&P in 1998, his career in reinsurance included roles in International, European and Retro, including as Senior Partner in charge of Europe for Sedgwick Re.

Over a 12 year period Peter held numerous roles at S&P, working largely with the insurance analytical practice and was latterly Vice President managing many of the commercial operations of the ratings business in Europe.

Peter launched Litmus Analysis in August 2010.
