This evidence-based, interactive workshop is designed for men and for those who live and work with men. It breaks down stigma, encourages open conversation, and equips attendees with practical tools to enhance mental wellbeing.
The session addresses both men and those who support them in any context - workplace, family, or community. All materials and activities are grounded in current evidence and best practices for promoting positive mental health among men.
Highly participative, this session features role-play, scenario exploration, and facilitated group conversations so participants leave with actionable skills and a sense of empowerment.
By the end of the session, participants should be able to:
- Understand the unique mental health challenges facing men in the UK, including barriers to help-seeking and societal pressures around masculinity.
- Explore the science of stress and mental ill-health in men—covering psychological, social, and biological factors.
- Discover strategies for having supportive conversations with men about mental health, both at work and in their personal lives
- Learn and practice practical self-care techniques that can be used immediately.
- Build confidence to become positive role models and allies, strengthening male wellbeing at work and beyond.
