On behalf of BIBA’s Yorkshire & Northern Committee, I am delighted to invite young brokers - aged under 35 - to an engaging afternoon of learning, networking, and socialising at our upcoming Young Broker Event, kindly hosted by Markel.

In line with the theme of the 2026 BIBA Conference “Time: To” this event will explore the moments that matter most in building relationships, developing expertise, and shaping successful broker careers.

This event offers a fantastic opportunity to connect with fellow young professionals while developing key skills through two interactive workshops delivered by Markel:

• Sales Workshop – Time: To Connect - Discover how to sell through relationship‑building, effective communication, and problem‑solving that truly supports your clients.

• Underwriting Workshop – Time: To Advise - Gain valuable technical insight into the insurance market from a specialist insurer, boosting your confidence and capability in customer conversations.

After the workshops, we’ll head out for a relaxed social, the perfect opportunity to continue conversations, expand your network, and connect with peers.
