BIBA webinar - Assessing insurance adequacy – virtual data vs on site expertise presented by Questgates

A practical comparison of data-driven, desk-based insurance assessments and on-site expert reviews, highlighting where each adds value when assessing buildings, machinery and plant, contents, and business interruption risks. Attendees will gain a practical understanding of when data is “good enough,” when expert intervention is critical, and how to make informed decisions about insurance adequacy in an increasingly digital risk landscape.

Learning objectives:

By the end of this webinar, delegates should be able to:

  • Describe where desk-based assessments can be highly effective and proportionate
  • Determine where reliance on data alone can lead to underinsurance or false confidence
  • Explain how on-site expertise adds value beyond pure valuation, including risk insight and resilience
  • Quantify how a blended approach can deliver the best balance between efficiency, accuracy, and assurance
