BIBA’s accredited provider of mental health training, Mental Health in Business (MHIB) is providing a series of courses for BIBA members that will help you comply with mental health guidelines from NICE. The new guidelines have, since March, placed a great emphasis on the importance of line managers receiving specific workplace mental health training.
Line managers and people leaders play a crucial role in a healthy organisational culture and working environment and recent research has suggested that they are key to the successful establishment of a psychologically safe and healthy workplace.
The day-long workshop will comprise of four sessions covering the fundamentals of workplace mental health and wellbeing for managers and leaders. The training is evidence-based and delivered in a trauma-informed manner by MHIB’s experienced trainers and coaches. Participants will take part in classroom learning, interactive discussions and group exercises – all based on the latest workplace mental health guidance and research and designed to appeal to all learning types and to ensure effective learning in a short timeframe. Places are limited in number to two per firm and will be allocated on a first come-first served basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop the skills of your managers and leaders. We cannot escape the need to manage and support our employees’ mental wellbeing, so it is important to have a manager or leader who has had suitable training.
This training is being subsidised by BIBA so cost is only £50 per person.
